The breath is the key! Proper breathing strengthens the body, tones the organs, center the mind. There is no need to be a spiritual person to see that life stops when the breath stops flowing freely in the body. Becoming aware of the natural flow of breath allows a person to connect with what happens deep within, underneath the surface. Only then, the state of yoga (union) starts to arise and overflows in our everyday life. During the practice of yoga asana, the breath leads the body to open and move effortlessly to its maximum point. No brute force is applied, movement occurs naturally from the inside out.
